Arbitration
District Court

What if I think I got a raw deal!

The Property Tax Code has provided the owner with recourse if the owner is not satisfied with the ARB's decision. In the past, the only avenue was to sue the Appraisal District in District Court. That is costly and takes a l-o-n-g time. And while the owner is writing checks and waiting, the taxes must continue to be paid and in a timely manner or the case thrown out.

In 2005, the State Legislature provide Binding Arbitration.  The playing field has been leveled! Affordable recourse may be available through arbitration!
